Take a Scenic Ride Along Yount Mill Road

Distance: 7 miles
Start & Finish: Napa Valley Bike Tours, 6500 Washington Street, Yountville

Two people walk along a quiet country road bordered by oak trees and vineyards

Why your family will love this ride: Yount Mill Road is a bit of a local’s secret. With no wineries open to the public along this road, it’s well off the radar for any tourists navigating with GoogleMaps. Although this road is open to traffic, you’ll encounter very few cars. For this reason, we find many families are comfortable riding this road. Yount Mill Road is also frequented by locals who enjoy this route for a morning or afternoon stroll along the vineyards. Along Yount Mill Road, you’ll pass by a historic pole barn and may even come across a herd of resident longhorns. If you choose to ride Yount Mill Road with your family, remember that you will be sharing the road with any cars. It’s important to obey traffic laws, ride single file and keep to on the right side of the road. Also, be respectful of private property, including vineyards.
