Two Boutique Farm Visits

Charsaw Lavender Farm
At Charsaw Farms, you'll be invited behind the scenes to see how lavender is transformed into essential oil, try your hand at the de-budding machine, and visit the farm shop to learn about the drying process and handcrafted products. You'll learn about the 23 lavender varieties grown on 3.5-acre farm and how to identify different types, and discover how lavender is used in culinary, fragrance, and wellness products.
Create your own lavender sachet to take home, then enjoy a picnic on property featuring a signature lavender jam cookie and refreshing lavender lemonade.

Olive Hill Estates
Stroll among the Olive Hill Estates' Italian olive trees as your host shares the story of the grove, sustainable farming practices, and the five varietals that create their signature field blend.
Learn about the harvest and cold-pressing process that preserves the character of each olive, from hand-picking at peak ripeness to pressing just minutes away from the orchard. Your visit concludes with a guided tasting of Olive Hill Estates’ exceptional olive oils, where you’ll discover the nuances of this Napa Valley-grown treasure.

Included Take-Aways
Each guest will take home a lavender sachet and a 100ml mini bottle of extra virgin olive oil

Our Guided Tours are totally Electric!
Electric bikes give us the flexibility to take the scenic route and reach wineries farther afield than we could using regular bikes.
Casual bikers appreciate that longer distances and hills are no sweat on an electric bike. And if you’re looking for more exercise, you can easily turn the pedal-assist level down or off to increase your effort.
You’ll find the pedaling experience on our E-Bikes feels very natural – it’s you, only faster!

You'll ride an average of 3 to 6 miles between stops. The total riding on this tour typically lands around 10-12 miles. And don't forget, you'll have an E-Bike with four levels of pedal assist at your fingertips!
What are the roads like?
This tour takes place in the Carneros District, which is well off the beaten path. You'll be riding on quiet country roads. There are occasional cars along these roads, but generally it's very lightly trafficked. A portion of the route is along the long driveway of Olive Hill Estates, which is compacted gravel.

What should I wear?
The wineries don't have dress codes, but we understand you want to blend with other guests. Our advice is to think "smart active" - like you would for a round of golf.
Recommended: Warm layers for cool mornings, shorts or capris, longer pants with tapered/slim fitted legs, flat-soled shoes, sunglasses, sandals (as long as they are secure) - and definitely sunscreen!
Not Recommended: Denim (heavy seams can become uncomfortable), maxi dresses or wide-legged pants (loose clothing can get caught in the chain or spokes), wedge heels, flip flops, mules.
Should we tip our Farm Hosts?
Your farm hosts are local growers and artisans who personally welcome our guests and share their passion during each ~60-minute visit.
If you make a purchase during your visit, an additional tip is generally not expected.
If you don't make a purchase, a gratuity of about $10 per guest is a thoughtful way to thank your host for their time and hospitality.
How much should I tip my Tour Guide?
$20-40 per person reflects a 10-20% gratuity range (after farm visit fees are subtracted).
Can you accommodate my dietary restriction?
Definitely! Let us know any ingredients you need to omit. If you have specific concerns, please reach out to us.
What's your cancellation policy?
Full prepayment is required to confirm your reservation. If you need to cancel, a minimum 48 hours notice is required and 10% cancellation fee will apply before refund (online booking fees are also non-refundable). In lieu of refund, you can request a full-credit Gift Card to reschedule for a future date.
What if it's raining?
This tour is offered April through October, when rain is exceptionally rare. Forecast rain will cause this tour to be cancelled. You will have the opportunity to reschedule or receive a full refund.
