Our Post-COVID Operations Plan
Biking is an inherently socially distant activity! Now there’s a marketing angle we never thought we’d use…
In all seriousness, we have combed through our operations to identify new best practices so you can safely enjoy a bike tour or rental with us in a post-COVID world.
We are sharing our Post-COVID Operations Plan here so you can book your experience with confidence and anticipate what to expect on the day of your bike tour or rental.
We look forward welcoming you back to Napa Valley!
A Foundation of Cleanliness
While we have always taken care to sanitize rental equipment between uses, we have stepped up these measures considerably.
We are using hospital-grade Quat disinfectant cleaners to sanitize our bikes, helmets and locks and all high-touch surfaces after each use.
Social Distancing Practices
Our staff and any guests coming inside our store must wear face masks. We will also be limiting the number of guests allowed in our store at one time.
Fortunately, most of our “business” – such as discussing your route and getting you set up with your bikes – can easily take place outside!
Two things you can do to help with our social distancing efforts (that will also help us get you on the road faster!):
- Reserve in advance! Even if it means calling on your way to our store.
- Have everyone in your party sign the eWaiver ahead of your arrival.
Even for same-day reservations, it is super helpful if you can call ahead – 707.251.8687 – so we can set you up for contactless payment send you an email confirmation with a link to our eWaiver.
Here’s what the link to the eWaiver will look like in your email confirmation:
Simply copy & share the link with everyone in your party, and they can complete the eWaiver from their smartphones on your way to our shop. This will GREATLY help us speed up your check-in process!
Guided Bike Tours
Our public guided tour groups are limited to a maximum of 6 guests and our Tour Guides are upholding social distancing measures.
All tour guests and Tour Guides must have a face mask, to be worn during bike fitting in the morning and while in any indoor setting. Face masks are not required to be worn when we are outdoors and maintaining 6+ feet of social distance, including while biking.
With shared awareness, maintaining a minimum 6 feet of separation between parties is not difficult to uphold at any stops we make along the road, at wineries during tastings and while your tour group enjoys an outdoor picnic at a winery.
Napa Valley’s wineries are following industry guidelines per California’s Blueprint for a Safe Economy during COVID19.
On the website – covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy – enter “Napa” under County and “Wineries” under Activity to learn about Napa County’s curren risk level and regulations at wineries.
