We'll help you plan your route - and provide a map - according to your desired mileage and terrain. Most guests pedal along flat to gently rolling routes, averaging 2-5 miles of pedaling between winery visits.

Self-Guided Napa Valley Bike Tours

Even diehard "do-it-yourselfers" should consider a few important logistics before deciding to simply rent bike and tour totally unsupported.

For one thing, when planning your lunch "on the go" you'll find delis are few and far between once you're out cycling among the vineyards- and the lines often get long.It's not unsual to encouter a 30-minute wait (or longer) for a sandwich.

And if you're planning to purchase wine during your bike ride, carrying it while biking can pose another obstacle. Even if you wear a backpack, you'll risk damaging your prized finds by exposing them to heat.

With all this in mind, you can improve your experience exponentially by choosing a Self-Guided Bike Tour. You'll still pedal at your own pace, stopping at wineries you've chosen to visit (we can help if you need suggestions!); but, you'll enjoy the added conveniences of having your wine purchases picked up for you and a catered deli box lunch arranged in advance; we'll steer you to a local park with shaded picnic tables where you can enjoy your lunch while deciding which tasting rooms to visit next!
